Raffaello Bencini worked
in theater and portrait photography for
many years before becoming one of Italy's
most renouned fine-art photographers.
Among the prestigious volumes illustrated
with his images, the following stand
out: Palazzi di Firenze (four volumes),
Palazzo Brera and the Pinacoteca (two
volumes), Chiese di Firenze, The American
Bible Society New Testament, The Saint
Bartolomeo Church, New York, Tuscan
Villas and Gardens, Roman Villas and
Gardens, Palazzo Vecchio, Florence
(three volumes).
In addition to working with the principle
publishers of Europe, North America
and Japan, Raffaello Bencini taught television studio scenography and
lighting for theater and television
at the Accademia delle Belle Arti,
in both Florence and Milan.
He lives
and works in Florence, Italy.
